hey hey!

if you’re reading this…may your weekend already be started! it’s gorgeous over here in MO and it’s going to be an even prettier weekend! yaaaaas!

we’ve been so busy lately. with the kids’ activities, family stuff, the house, working full-time, it is non-stop. we’ve been soaking up every last summer moment we can. it’s hard to believe that (dare i say it out-loud) school is quickly approaching! i can’t even start to imagine my baby going to kindergarten – i won’t do it!

we had the best fourth of july. it was so low-key on the actual holiday because it fell in the middle of the week. even though it rained, i think the kids had an absolute blast! i know drew + i had way too much fun with morning glories and sparklers. haha!

my parents always have a huge fourth of july party at their house. my dad and his buddies fry fish, everyone brings a side, and there’s lots of swimming, music, fireworks, and fun. everyone has a blast! this year was no exception – plus we had awesome weather! mom had the party over the weekend following the holiday, so everyone was able to make it! so good to see all of our friends and family!

my hometown, where we currently live, has such an awesome community. it’s a small town and it’s seen its fair share of hardship, don’t get me wrong. but there has been a surge of life in our little dot on the map and some major efforts from our growth association (kudos!). one thing the ECGA does is organize and host a Summer Concert Series. guys, it’s so cool! food, beer, live bands – all in our little town! and it is FREE for the people! we always have such a good time and it’s awesome to see so many people get out and be together. if you caught my instastories, you saw a good time was definitely had by all.

this past weekend was midnight piano band. if you’re local and you can see them perform be prepared to be blown away! these guys do sir elton john AND billy joel’s music some major justice! SO GOOD.

we’ve lucked out with some mild weather here and there this summer! everett played t-ball this year and he had the best cheer squad around (as you can see). my sister and i decided to take up a new hobby: cycling…as in bike riding. i literally love it and i haven’t even been doing it for very long!
