welcome to wednesday! i’m going to overload this post with photos. it’s the middle of a short, holiday week and this is my blog so i do what i want. plus, my baby is cute. 😉 haha! but on a serious note…enjoy!

>>everett discovered ketchup this past week. i’ve had a lot of trouble getting him to eat, period. i don’t know if it is a texture thing or what, but one day he’ll love something and the next he turns his nose up. one of my favorite meals is sausage, potatoes, and onions….and, guess what, rett loves it too! with ketchup, that is.
>>tried out another splash pad. not a fan of this one. the water was squirting out at full force! i think it could have knocked me down. plus it was at a freezing temp. the only nice thing was that the area was padded. for the drive and location, i wasn’t impressed… but the kiddos had fun and that’s all that matters!
>>we leave for our annual family vacation in T-9 days! we decided to purchase an ergobaby 360. i have (and absolutely LOVE) my sakura bloom and tula. they are amazing. BUT with everett being so curious, we thought having something that he can face forward in would be great for hiking in the mountains and exploring. we’ve been breaking it in and, so far, he loves it! i read 100,000 reviews on it before buying – i suggest doing so if you’re in the market. it is remarkably comfortable. i’ll get back to you with a good review once i’ve had a chance to really get some wear out of it!
>>homemade popsicles. duh.
>>rett’s cozy coupe got pimped up. thanks yaya!
>>if you’re from missouri, you probably experienced some crazy rain. in our little town, as you can see, we got some flash flooding. everyone is okay, but we have a lot of cleaning up to do. it is so sad to see this happen in our community, but it is really amazing to see how everyone comes together to pitch in.
>>drew and i had a little date night dinner for our anniversary! it was nice to get out. we finished the night with watermelon and dawn of the planet of the apes (i know…we’re cheap and didn’t want to buy movie tickets at the theatre!). pretty good movie!
>>you HAVE to try this watermelon and cucumber smoothie! it comes out more like a juice…but it is so tasty! perfect for summer. mmmmm.
happy hump day, peeps! make it count!
