I admit that I’ve been slacking when it comes to my monthly Birchbox reviews. But, if I’m being completely honest, I wasn’t ecstatic about my recent boxes. I thought…okay, one more month to see if I fall back in love. Well, folks, I DID.

Apart from the ridiculously adorbs packaging (are you kidding me with the ‘TEE-HEE’ box??!), the products were even more of a joy to try!

My two favorites out of this box, hands down, would be the ModelCo Bronzer and the Juliette Has A Gun Not a Perfume.

The bronzer is the perfect hue. I feel like sometimes when I use a bronzer on myself, it can leave behind an un-natural orange-y color. Not. Cute. This bronzer, however, is sheer and is a perfect combination of pigment – leaving a nice, healthy glow. It is matte, yet has just enough golden-sheen to give a glow-y effect. Love it.

Okay, the perfume is as punk-rock as its name. Juliette Has A Gun. I’m flashing back to my childhood when my dad and I listened to Aerosmith’s Janie’s Got A Gun. One of my favorites. Apart from that totally random trip down memory lane…this scent is like heaven for my olfactory! It is sweet, but spicy…a smoky (not as in cigarette) hint to it. I haven’t smelled anything like it. Not to mention, it’s allergen-free! So I don’t feel bad wearing it when I’m holding the little munchkin.

I am eager to try the other products, too – especially the Marcelle BB Cream. After what I’ve read on the product, it sounds like a product that a Grecian Goddess would have used! I am always on the fence when it comes to trying new things on my face, but I think I’ll add this to my mix to try out.
